2012 Conference
Our 6th annual conference will be held on February 24-25, 2012 at New Hope Church in the Minneapolis suburb of New Hope, MN. The theme for 2012 is A Caregiver's Guide to the Missionary Heart. We want to pay special attention to the nurture and care of the souls of our missionaries – looking for ideas, understandings and approaches to addressing their heart-felt needs. Many well-meaning caregivers feel ill-equipped to address the deep needs of their missionaries – or even to ask questions that reveal their true heart. What are the deepest needs at the heart and soul of our missionaries? And how can we minister to them? This year we want to encourage missionary caregivers to understand, pray for and minister to their beloved missionaries on this deeper level, offering friendship and help that truly meets their needs

Our featured speakers will be Dr. George Murray, Chancellor of Columbia University and former director of TEAM (the Evangelical Alliance Mission), and Scott Shaum, Director of Staff Development for Barnabas International. Midwest Conference on Missionary Care
Welcome to the homepage of MC2. The Midwest Conference on Missionary Care is an annual event co-sponsored by Minnesota Renewal Center, Barnabas International and Transform Minnesota (formerly the Greater Minnesota Association of Evangelicals).
The aim of MC2 is to inform, inspire and educate the church – including laity, pastors, leaders, mission coordinators and mission committee members – in providing effective care to their overseas missionaries and missionary families. The event is held every February in local Twin Cities area churches. Attendees have come from around the upper Midwest and throughout the country. Speakers and workshop leaders include local church leaders, national mission leaders and missionary care professionals.
